Finland 2015 - Part 1.

Hello you lovely lot! I've been ever so slightly AWOL from my blog over recent weeks for various reasons, one of which being that we went on a little holiday to Finland! It was my first holiday in about 6 years, so as I'm sure you can imagine I was ready to burst with excitement. We stayed in Rovaniemi, which is just on the edge of the Arctic Circle, is the home of Father Christmas and this year was host to the World Masters Weightlifting Championships - the main reason for our trip. 

I was astounded by how incredibly beautiful Rovaniemi was, to the point where I feel words just don't do it justice.  It was a great place for an active holiday as we walked and biked our way around over the five days and everyone seemed to wear gym kit which made me feel right at home!

I had such a great time, I definitely want to visit again during the winter as I can only imagine how gorgeous it would look covered in snow! For today, here's a few photos of my trip and the beauty that is Finland, I think I'll share the photos in two posts otherwise it'll be photo overload! I highly recommend a visit, I'm sure you wouldn't be disappointed.

Living Well One Line A Day.

I'm a big advocate of positive thinking and it's something I really try my best to incorporate into my daily life and mindset. I believe that in most instances we have the choice and ability to take hold of our thoughts and see the positive in our lives and choices. Obviously this is something that can be much easier said than done, and I'm not saying that I don't have times where I moan or think negatively, but I also like to try and counteract negatives with a positive.

Update and a Yummy Vegan Curry.

Hello folks! I'm here to offer my sincerest apologies that my blog has been rather quiet lately. I was hoping that this would change last week, with it being Caribbean food week and me having some yummy recipe ideas to share. However, this all changed when I was crashed into last Tuesday evening. I'm totally fine, but unfortunately my car was not and so my time since then seems to have been taken up dealing with insurance and third parties and more recently looking for a new car. I completely rely on my car for my job (I have a 60 mile round commute per day) so for me being without my car is a big deal (thank the Lord for hire car cover!) and trying to replace my little diamond in the rough has been a bit of a task. I think I'm getting there now and I'm hoping that I can slowly get things back on track blog wise - I need to pull my finger out really as I'm off to Finland next week for 5 days!
